Event Description
Ballads, bossas and blues are on the menu as Victoria jazz vocalist and songwriter Carol Sokoloff takes the stage at Hermann's Jazz Club, at 7 p.m. this Sunday, November 9th. This engaging artist who has performed in the Victoria Jazzfest and other venues and festivals, is accompanied by the ever-swinging Trio Espresso featuring Kenny Seidman, piano; Alex Olson, bass and James McCrae, drums for a night of tasty, classic vocal/piano jazz. Special guests are also expected. Sokoloff is known for her warm and burnished vocal approach and for writing words and music to songs in the vein of the American songbook standards, many of which are found on her award-nominated CD 'Let Go!', available on Amazon, Itunes and CD Baby.
The doors open at 6 pm, and the music begins at 7pm, running till 10 pm. Hermann's is an all ages venue with a restaurant menu and bar. A cover charge of $12 is collected at the door. Reservations are recommended.
